COVID 19:  Can't say if this is common cold. It could be a mild case of COVID 19. My understanding is that in South Africa- one needs to consult with a medical provider who will then make the determination about whether they will make a COVID 19 testing referral or not.

Nasal drip: Try over-the-counter zyrtec or Allegra or generic antihistamines and see if it improves your  postnasal drip. If not see ENT or allergist to get a allergy work up and prescribe nasal steroid or antihistamine.

Not COPD: There are a number of things that can cause the symptoms you describe.  This winter here in the Midwest has been cold and dry, and those environmental factors can aggravate your upper airway.

At your age, you don't have COPD.  My guess is you've had a tough winter season.  Any other concerns, see your physician.

ive had a runny nose, congestion, sore throat, clogged ears, and a cough for 4 days. all symptoms except cough and congestion have subsided. but i cough up green phlegm now. i had covid last month, is this just a common cold or what?

: The illness may be due to prolonged COVID 19 infection, or a bacterial secondary infection such as strep pneumococcus. A course of antibiotics is indicated for sinusitis, if not resolving or if worsening. Watch for facial swelling, fever and shortness of breath. Retest for COVID 19 using an antigen test.

: The only way to know for certain if this is Covid 19 is to get tested. You could have come into contact with someone who has Covid without even knowing it, especially if it is a vaccinated person who may have few symptoms. So, get tested and get vaccinated to protect yourself if you are currently unvaccinated. Best of luck to you!

Viral URI: Stay in bed, drink lots of fluids (chicken soup is said to be good), take otc products to relieve symptoms and time and patience will be rewarded with your improvement. Not much else will work.

Sore throats: Most likely you had a viral sore throat, which is the most common cause of a  sore throat .  Recommendation would be to check for strep if you  have had a sore throat for 3-4 days that is not getting any better.  Glad you are feeling better.
