I think i have a common cold. runny nose, sneezing, congestion, post nasal drip, lump in my throat. i haven't had contact with anyone who has tested positive with covid19 or who has been coughing. should i get tested? or wait for additional symptoms?

The only way to know for certain if this is Covid 19 is to get tested. You could have come into contact with someone who has Covid without even knowing it, especially if it is a vaccinated person who may have few symptoms. So, get tested and get vaccinated to protect yourself if you are currently unvaccinated. Best of luck to you!

if you are not in contact with others--i.e. working from home, then testing may not be needed. Take some OTC cold/sinus medicine for a couple of days to relieve some of your symptoms. If you have to be in contact with others, then testing is reasonable...this day and age, no one wants to be around some who is sick ---even your symptoms are likely common colds or even seasonal allergies etc...
