Depends: Some people do better on low carb, others on low fat. Those with more belly weight need low carb. Those with weight all over may need low fat. Everyone must avoid processed carbs and sugars as these spike your Insulin and help weight gain. Good fats are olive oil and coconut oil. And eat lots of vegetables.

See below: I'm not familiar with the frozen atkins meals. Most frozen meals are really not the best for you to consume. If you want to lose weight. The best way to do it is to learn how to eat for you. Find out what makes you fat. There's lots of great literature available. Depends: The old adkins diet restricted fruits and vegetables. The new version of the atkins diet is more focused on nutrition from fresh vegetables, lean protein, fruits, and whole grains.

Its in the Low GI: This means you concentrate on low glycemic index foods.Foods w a GI less than 55.This allows you to stay in a ketogenic state.U don't sacrifice an entire days food choices so that every item is below 55.U look at an overall meal or a days meal plan and see if the average GI of all items taken as a whole is below 55.Make smart choices and above all else exercise & drink 64 oz's of h2o/day.

Extremes: I believe it is better for most to eat nearly everything in moderation instead of going on an extreme diet.  I don't see how getting ketosis, which may reduce your appetite, can be good for the body. As for the high fat, too much saturated fat is likely harmful because it promotes inflammation. If you must, try unsaturated fat.

Expensive Candy Bars: Most of the so called healthy bars are no more than expensive candy bars with some vitamins thrown in to fool the uninformed public. Do yourself a favor - if you are hungry, eat real food. If you are not hungry don't eat. If you are trying to lose weight avoid starches and sugars and eat nutrient dense foods like low starch vegetables and lean meats.

Not that way: Your diet have to be balanced and you do need some carbs as well as fats in your diet

if you are consuming 2000 cals per day 
fat 25%
carbs 45%
protein 30%
that is if you are ideal weight.
