Yes: Several.  Sometimes we use wellbutrin (bupropion) or a tricyclic antidepressant (like desipramine) for the treatment of adhd.  Other drugs like strattera also show some advantages.  Even within the stimulants, there are other options like Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) or dextroamphetamine, as well as longer-acting preparations such as adderall-xr, vyvanse or concerta.

Adderall ?: Adderall is an amphetamine, and is not safe in pregnancy, heart disease, hypertension and other conditions.  Adderall can cause withdrawal and low birth weight in newborns.  Consult your OB provider for an assessment of the dose taken, and the possible effects, but stop taking the medication while pregnant.

Onset &amp; duration of : action differ, both usually longer  than for Adderall XR. Approximately ? of a Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) dose is amphetamine, the active ingredient. If the Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) has not expired, adjusting the dose to match your Adderall XR up to a maximum of 70 mg of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) if you take 25-30 mg. of Adderall XR should be okay. Keep amphetamines locked up to prevent diversion. Check you blood pressure &amp; pulse rate monthly.

First, : First, you should try to call your insurance plan and ask if they have a list of doctors that take your insurance (most of them can provide this).  If this does not work, you can try looking into physicians working for a university health center near you such as cornell or suny syracuse.  They often take all insurances.  An urgent care or emergency room would be unlikely to help in this situation.

: Yes, she is. Would have been a dream drug otherwise, helping students and people in general to complete their tasks. It does help with all activities by increasing focus/ energy, does not make unattractive tasks enjoyable.

tell the prescriber: Both Prozac (fluoxetine) and Adderall can cause a stimulating effect which could leave you feeling anxious, "wired" and generally uncomfortable. If you are using caffeine in addition to those meds, the effect could be even worse. You need to speak to the md prescribing these meds, who may need to readjust what is being prescribed.

i'm finding it very hard to disassociate studying and abusing adderall, how do i break cycle? cant focus and can't afford dropping out last semester
