: If this has been happening for a day or two try a high vegetable, low meat with plenty of water for a couple days. If this has been happening for 4-5 days, then I would see a physician ASAP

As : As the bowel movements are accompanied by abdominal cramping, this is not normal. You are showing signs of hyperactive bowel and this can be indicative of other medical conditions such as crohn's disease or irritable bowel syndrome.
It is important that you follow up with your doctor to keep him/her aprised of your medical concerns. In the meantime, review your own diet to determine if there are certain foods that cause cramping and a need to go to the bathroom right away. Stay away from those foods and choose more fibrous choices such as granola, beans and leafy greens.

Sounds complicated: If you have not seen a gastroenterologist, i would suggest an immediate visit.  As an aside, the dietary advice put forth in the book the perfect health diet by paul jaminet may be helpful for your situation.  I know many people whose GI symptoms improved on this diet.

Bowel Movement: Mucous once in awhile means little.  So don't worry. If you were to start having mucous all the time, with pain and bleeding it could be a concern.  At this point take a deep breath and enjoy being 17, within reason.

Sports hernia: Your injury &amp; symptoms are characteristic of a sports hernia of the lower abdominal wall with or without associated groin involvement. A CT scan isn't as effective as an MRI in detecting this type of hernia. I think diagnosis is a key in managing your case. Severe tears often require surgery. I recommend consulting an abdominal surgeon for evaluation&amp; treatment options if your symptoms are severe

Same day usually : Food poisoning always indicates an acute situation, which either involves vomiting, or diarrhea or someway of the body eliminating the toxins quickly. So it's usually the same day or with in maximum 24 hours. If it's any longer than that, then it probably is not food poisoning.
