hello! occasionally when i put pressure on my left knee, the area below the patella would hurt. should i be worried regarding it? thanks! i have a few current problems such as severe pes planus, leg length discrepancy, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciit

Sorry: Sorry to hear that.  Most of those issues like leg length discrepancy can cause that type of pain over time.  Consider orthotics and following up with an orthopedic surgeon

Location of pain: Achilles tendonitis involves pain along the achilles tendon especially at its attachment on the back of the heel bone.  Plantar fasciitis involves pain on the bottom of the foot along the plantar fascia ligaments especially where they attach to the bottom of the heel bone.

It can: A tight tendo achilles can limit ankle motion. If so, that can increase pronation in the foot, causing strain in the arch and contribute to plantar fasciitis.

Three's a crowd...: You certainly can have all three conditions at the same time. An experienced clinician would be able to determine the diagnosis without an MRI. Sprain or fracture: Was it x-rayed? If it is not a missed fracture or widened mortise, your inactivity could be a cause.  Failure to dorsiflex your foot fully will cause metatarsalgia-forefoot pain. Plantar fasciitis although it is a really different problem is about the underside of the heel and is actually a bursa.  If it was neg/x-ray start runner's stretches and get the ankle loose.

Compensation.: You are describing the phenomena known as compensation. Any event that alters one's gait can have an effect on many areas of the foot and leg, including the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. This is  why determining the cause of foot and leg pain can sometimes be both frustrating and difficult. The compensatory symptoms can over shadow the initial problem(s), causing frustration in treatment.

If you suspect: Charcot foot get off of it until confirmed. Use crutches. Charcot foot is an extremely serious condition. 
Plantar fascitis typically is pain by bottom of the heel or arch.  Achilles tendon is pain to the achilles so those yo usould be able to differntiate based on anatomical location. Charcot foot charachterized by swelling of the foot or lower leg. Generally, patients have neuropathy...See doc.

Start Now.: By the sound of it, likely a fascia injury and possibly some involvement with the Achilles tendon. These are initially treated in the RICE fashion.(rest, ice, compression and elevation) This will help with the swelling and pain. Avoid bearing weight on the foot until it can be examined and the true extent of the injury can be determined. Use Crutches until you can see a foot and ankle specialist.

Tight Soleus: More likely due to tight gastrocnemius and/or Soleus muscle. Stretching exercises to make these more flexible would be a great help in addition to wearing more supportive shoes and inserts.

after a high ankle sprain 6 weeks ago, i am still experiencing discomfort at my achilles' tendon and heel when i plantar flex my foot. why is this?

Achilles pain: Sorry about your sprain.  Your achilles tendon is a nearby structure and during your sprain, you may have also damaged your nearby structures or the swelling from the sprain can cause pain around the area. Also, sometimes posterior ankle impingement at the joint cause pain when plantarflexing.  Best of luck.
