Ankle fracture: Weber b fracture means the level of fibula fracture starts at the ankle joint.  Whether its stable or not can depend on fracture displacement, rotation, etc.  In your case, you may have a bi-malleolar equivalent fracture.  To determine if you need surgery or non-surgical treatment, see your podiatric surgeon.

See Ortho: Studies show that the bony protuberance on the outside of your ankle is called the lateral malleolus and it is part of your fibula, dont worry, its supposed to be there, you can google ankle anatomy to confirm this. If you are having achilles pain it is most likely tendonitis, less likely however possible is the need for an exam to rule out enthesopathy associated with ankylosing spondylitis.

in 1998 i had a biomalleolar. in may 2017 i had a calcium deposit removed from the middle in between both joints. almost a year later my achilles tendon is popping, hurting swelling can't walk for long periods sometimes i feel pain going up my calf.

Tendonitis: Chronic Achilles tendonitis can do this. The tendon may also be partially torn. An orthopedic surgeon would be best to evaluate,advise and treat you.Wearing an appliance and/or physical therapy may be ordered.  An mri may be recommended for accurate diagnosis.

CRP!: The CRP test will tell you have inflammation!  you nay need to see a specialist in rheumatology! patients with a negative rf, should have a ccp antibody run. I suspect you have spondyloarthritis, not rheumatoid arthritis. A form of spondylitis is most suspect.

Determining cause: Hi, more info is needed to determine tx and pain relief plan. Broadly, posterior ankle pain can be MANY things. If the pain &amp; etiology is truly localized to the Achilles then considerations are narrowed but still broad. Treatment for milder tendon diseases could be rest, ice, elevation, bracing, stretching, PT. But if there is TEAR the treatment changes and immobilization and surgery need consider

Rest and rehab: The problem with achilles tendon is the poor circulation for healing.  So it takes longer to heal than other tendons or muscles.  First rest and ice the tendon to reduce the inflammation.  Then stretching(dynamic and static) to reduce the tension on the tendon that causes it to get sore.   First get eval by a podiatrist then they will guide you when physical therapy is right.

Tendonitis: When the tendons are injured in some capacity this is the feeling you get. Ice them and consider heel lifts inside ths hoes about a quarter inch to allow them to rest while walking as they won't exert themselves as much as they are preloaded.
