i have a very sore wisdom tooth & dont have access to a dentist as i am abroad for 4 months. sore throat & can hardly speak w/o pain. any advice?

Free information: If you did not ask for premium, paid services, then this HealthTap public forum is free. Post a simple health question (not a complex issue) with good grammar and spelling, and one or more of the thousands of volunteer doctors may answer it. They might skip repetitive questions, or ones that have too many abbreviations, or are otherwise hard to understand.

Good question: Your best bet is to get on the internet and access   www.healthtap.com.  That should lead you to a website that will help. When you do live video chat it is all very confidential.

No: That's why HealthTap exists as an advance form of telemedicine. However, we can't replace your family doctor. Also, we're all trained &amp; based here in the States so we may not be up-to-date on how things work in other countries such as India. Still, medicine is medicine, regardless of where you live, so teleconference w/live video is a good option for those who don't have immediate access.

video chat please.. i had sea food yesterday and got irritated after 3 bites. ever since then it's painful whenever i eat and swallow. what do i do?

See a clinic or ED: Sounds like you probably got a bone or a piece of shell lodged in something in your throat.  These can cause a lot of irritation and even infection which can lead to swelling.  Swelling in the throat is particularly dangerous because of the need to breathe through your throat---too much, and the trachea (breathing tube) is cut off.  Also it is possible you are allergic to the seafood.

i just had a video chat with a doctor and did not first have my pharmacy entered. so he told me to go back into my account and add it so i did that but my pharmacy is not receiving my perscription?
