been feeling horrifically sick. falling down, dropping things. tired, pain all over. i had an eosinophil count 4.0 which shows high with normal range 0-2.9, eos abs is at 0.29 which shows high with normal range being 0-0.20. does this point anywhere?

: Not to a diagnosis. An eosinophil count of 20+ would suggest a parasitic disease. The cited number has little significance. Your symptoms are worrisome. See your doctor and get a thorough exam and testing to sort this out.

Two sides same coin: A 'normal' eosinophil count will be the reference range a lab uses to compare your levels against. An absolute count is the calculated number of individual cells in your blood, this is usually calculated using the percentage of cells found during automated and/or manual cell differential counts on your blood.Your % and absolute counts may vary, but will compare to the 'normal' or reference range.

: Your absolute eosinophil count is ten times higher, i.e. 666 per mm3 (0.098 x 6,800), which is quite high. It suggests an allergic condition or sometimes a parasitic infection. This is normal: Eosinophils and Basophils are normally present on low numbers and count of zero for either of these cell types is not an abnormal result.
