Fluid and fiber: Generally when my patients complain of constipation, i ask them about their water intake and fiber intake.  Often they are not getting enough of one or both of those.  Exercise can also help.  If still having issues try some yogurt or a probiotic.  If no results, see your doc!

May be blood: Coffee grounds substance appearing in loose bowel movements may be digested blood from a bleed higher up in the intestinal tract. Blood in you gastrointestinal tract can act almost like a laxative and make you go looser than usual. I would get evaluated. Good luck.

Make sure...: It is not blood in the bowel, e g. From bleeding ulcer. Some meds, like bismuth, iron, charcoal, arsenic ( we don't use that one anymore), can cause black stool. Need to see md asap.

Let me explain: Stool comes in a range of colors. Only rarely does stool color indicate a potentially serious intestinal condition. 
Food may be moving through the large intestine too quickly, such as due to diarrhea. As a result, bile doesn't have time to break down completely.
Green leafy vegetables, green food coloring, such as in flavored drink mixes or ice pops, iron supplements.
