What can cause loose stool - coffee-grounds-like appearance?

May be blood: Coffee grounds substance appearing in loose bowel movements may be digested blood from a bleed higher up in the intestinal tract. Blood in you gastrointestinal tract can act almost like a laxative and make you go looser than usual. I would get evaluated. Good luck.
