What medications you are on may have an effect as well as your general state of health.  Usually a strain to an abdominal wall will be healed in 1-3 weeks.  Do you have an abdominal wall hernia or oher hernia?  This could be a cause of continued pain.

: Observe for now but go to ER if one or more of these symptom occur: fever, nausea/vomit, diffused abdominal pain or pain moving to the right lower quadrant (the area between the navel and the right pelvis). Do not try to clean and manipulate the navel in the mean time. Take care.

Abdominal pain: While it is possible, it would be unusual to have abdominal pain from muscle strain for so long unless you are really doing strenuous exercises. I agree with getting an ultrasound and getting evaluated further.
