Make sure you brush at least twice daily and floss your teeth! flossing is one of the best things you can do to prevent dental carries (chronic infection of the gums). It's a hard habit to start, but once you start... It's well worth the effort and your teeth will thank you!

Complicated: Some are because insect bites are more frequent in warmer climates, people then scratch them and by breaking the barrier created by intact skin create the opportunity for entry of the bacteria. You also perspire more in hot climates and this may increase bacterial release from sweat glands, but this is only theoretical.

Peritonsillar absces: Peritonsillar abscesses are really not very fun, to say the least.  Much like other abscesses, they usually won't go away without some kind of treatment.  I have seen, on rare occasion, where the abscess will spontaneously rupture, but by then, other problems deep in the neck can develop.  The most common treatments are needle aspiration of the abscess or incision and drainage and tonsillectomy.

Drainage: Abscesses do not generally go away on their own. The primary treatment of an abscess is drainage--evacuation of the pus. This can be done with surgery, a needle and syringe or the placement of a temporary drain with x-ray or ultrasound guidance.

There are a number: of dermatological as well as infectious disease diagnoses that could cause recurrent abscesses. In addition there are immune deficiency disorders besides diabetes that could contribute to the problem. You need to see a health care provider for evaluation and testing to exclude these potential diagnoses.

i recently moved to brazil. many people here get what i belive are abscesses.  i have never seen anyone with abscesses in the usa like see here.  why?

Difficult to answer.: This could be due to many factors.  Healthcare, type of infections, type of antibiotics and resistance, HIV rate (it's 10 times higher in brazil).
