: Given your results of negative for HIV, your symptoms are likely to be due to a different cause. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Living life: I am sorry to hear of your pain. Sex is supposed to bring us pleasure. It can bring up peace, love, intimacy, spirituality! rarely does sex bring disease. If you have no symptoms then what specifically are you obsessing about?

: My hunch is that she became actively infected Berwyn 9 and 12 months.  Ask he about possible exposure during this time.

Stop testing!: The 4th generation HIV tests are conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after the last possible exposure to the virus. All tests you had after that were unnecessary. For sure you don't have HIV.

No: The BioSure HIV test is quick and (relatively) easy to do.  Pretty accurate but NOT absolute.  If your still worried, ask your doctor to order a 4th generation HIV assay.  Not as quick but if that is negative you can be certain you do not have HIV

Probably but  ...: A 2nd generation test is an antibody-only test. It is rapid and inexpensive. Depending on the manufacturer a negative test can be 90-99% accurate.

If still anxious, get a 4th generation test. If this is negative you don’t have HIV, for sure.

: She’s not telling the truth. Seroconversion usually 2-4 weeks after infection, infrequently 2-3 month. 2 years?  Nah, just doesn’t happen

someone told me i 99.9% dont have hiv after testing negative with 4th gen combo test with hiv semi quant- 0.35 at 3 weeks. also negative oraquick at 9 weeks. i dont have to retest at 3 months correct? i was planning on ordering a panel?

: Three weeks is too early -- the AgAb (4th gen) test is around 90-95% conclusive at 3 weeks. The Oraquick test is never conclusive; 2-5% of infected people never have positive results. But you don't need to wait 3 months:  the AgAb tests are conclusive at 6 weeks. (But skip the "panel". Most tests on "comprehensive" STI test panels are unnecessary or unreliable. HIV and syphilis is all you need.

HIV: This test measures p24 antigen and HIV antibodies and if negative 4 mos after exposure has an inordinately high likelihood that you are negative and will remain so if you do not have further exposures. Some might advise being retested at 6 mos, but doubt this is necessary. Best wishes.

Yes: Such a test's result is conclusive even before 5 months. A person can then follow routine testing schedules after that, which means if a person is having sex with several people each year, she can tell her primary care doctor about her activities each year at her routine check-ups, and ask her primary care doctor for annual "STD and HIV screening" once per year.
