Sounds like it: It does not sound like you have passed the fetus. There will be quite a lot of blood. If all you have seen in spotting then that is not likely enough. Follow your doctors instruction.

Depends: It depends on what your doctor says you can do.  There is really no good study that says anything you do changes anything as far as miscarriage in the first trimester.  I'm talking normal, everyday things.  High impact aerobics, marathons, triathlons , stuff like that who knows.  I would ask your doc and see what s/he wants you to do and go from there.

It is normal: It is normal to have mold spotting during first trimester. Bed rest is recommended for some time. If it is associated with pain or cramping or excess bleeding do not wait to see your obstetrician for comprehensive evaluation .

Certainly worth it!: Yes, whenever you have blood in your urine, you need to be evaluated.  Spotting alone may only merit a phone call to the doc who inserted it, but blood in the urine is another story and needs to be assessed in person.  If you have fever, abdominal pain, or dizziness, please call your doc or go to an UC or ER right away.

i had an ultra sound done at exactly 6 weeks because of spotting. they got a heart rate of 97 beats per minute. is that to low for 6weeks?

Unfortunately: That is considered a threatened miscarriage. However,  anything is possible.  Bed rest is recommended until your follow up. Hoping for the best!.

Should be ok: You should be ok. If you are concerned that you are still pregnant,though, check a pregnancy test. By 6 weeks, it should be negative.

Cuff bleeding: the apex of the vagina is closed and as it heals, it can bleed a little bit. It is common for a little bit of spotting to occur after a hysterectomy. Rarely, if the cervix or part of the uterus is left behind, there can be residual endometrial cells that can produce cyclic bleeding. Talk to the surgeon and a post operative exam can help you identify the culprit. Best wishes . Dr M

Preg and bleeding: High hCG levels are a good sign.  Abnormal shape to sac not good, 117 heart rate not good.  Blood on wall can be normal implantation bleeding.  Spotting not uncommon.  Unfortunately all the correct things are being monitored.  Now you watch and wait.  Sorry. Best of luck.

Post partum bleeding: It is common for bleeding to occur for a month or more after childbirth, secondary to reversal of the thickened lining of the womb back to a normal level (like having a "prolonged period" ).  Red spotting at six weeks can indicate ovulation or the beginning of a "period".  If it continues, see your obstetric profassional for advice, which may involve having an ultrasound test.
