Second opinion: Get second opinions from other surgeons as well as interventional cardiologists who may be able to stent some vessels open.Contact tertiary centers about other options including heart assist devices, and work with diabetes specialist to get control of blood sugar ASAP.

Yes, possible, but..: ... it is very individualized. Many factors are considered, including age, symptoms, stress results, recent heart attack, presence of diabetes, heart muscle function, coronary anatomy. It's highly complex, even if it doesn't seem that way. Your physicians prioritize dozens of data points to conclude that bypass may be necessary. Unless it is an emergency, a 2nd opinion may help allay your anxiety

CABG and creatinine: You father should be able to have a coronary artery bypass graft procedure. A creatinine level of 2.2 mg/dl indicates chronic kidney disease, not renal failure. If you father were medically inappropriate for the surgery, his physicians would not have offered it as an option. The best suggestion I have for you is to speak to them and get their opinions. Rhabdo: If she has rhabdomyolysis and is on lipitor, (atorvastatin) yes she should be off the statin which can cause that muscle damage.

No: I am not sure what you are describing without actually there to examine you -- but you need to see the heart surgeon again if you are concerned -- and to make sure you don't have a surgical complication of thoracic outlet.

Increased creatinine: It sounds like you have diabetic kidney disease and it is severe (stage V).  With the numbers you have dialysis may be near.  You are anemic which goes along with your chronic kidney disease.  Drinking large amount of fluids could overload your heart and cause congestive heart failure.  You need to see a kidney doctor ASAP if you are not already and be worked up.
