Heart Bypass: Coronary artery bypass grafting is where the surgeon bypasses blocked or narrowed blood vessels to get more blood flow to parts of your heart. This, in turn, gives more oxygen to the heart muscle so that it can do the work it needs to in order to function. There are several ways it can be accomplished depending on the patient and the surgeon.
