Maybe: Most 3d systems are reliant upon a functioning underlying stereovision system in the brain.  With amblyopia, this system is often less than perfect and you may not realize the full benefit from the 3d illusion.  Also, some patients have experienced ocular discomfort with current 3d systems.

Turning off vision: The human brain utilized the input of both eyes to aid in depth perception/distance etc. As a child grows, their eyes may have different strength, or weakness in an eye muscle may allow one to line up wrong. The fuzzy or double vision confuses the brain. Over time the brain may begin turning off the input of one eye & keep the best. That process is called amblyopia. If caught early it can be fixed.

Depends on situation: If the eyeballs are not aligned properly, double vision will occur. Surgery on the muscles that pull the eye into position can line things up correctly. If this is done before the brain decides to stop accepting input from one eye (amblyopia), vision can be improved. However, if the eyes line up properly, & visual loss was unrelated, surgery will not help.

Vision correction: Amblyopia can be reduced with glasses if one eye is weak and needs a stronger prescription to make the eyes equal.  Recovery is better the younger the age.  Patching or Atropine can also be used to strengthen the weaker eye by forcing the brain to use it.

If the process has gone on too long, the brain ignores the fix & surgery is simply cosmetic.

Not at your age: Amblyopia is a condition in which an eye which is otherwise normal, sees less well. It is almost always caused by some eye malposition or refractive differencies between the two eyes in infancy and early childhood. The pattern of amblyopia becomes fixed if not treated by age 8 years. After that, exercises, etc. Cannot correct the condition. You have fully adapted at age 31.
