Slowed bowels: Pregnancy is associate with decreased 'transit time' through the bowels, from the stomach all the way through the colon.  Audible gas noise can be a sign of this normal problem in pregnancy.

Try the following: 1-BioFreze liniment ( OTC) - used 3-4 times/day
2- an athletic sock filled with tennis balls to lower back and abdomen
3-localheat ( pad) on Medium 10 min on/10 minutes off.

Only if needed: Lidocaine has been assigned to pregnancy category b by the fda. Animal studies have failed to reveal evidence of fetal harm. It is widely used for procedures during pregnancy but it does cross the placemta and enter the fetal bloodstream.  Lidocaine should only be given during pregnancy when needed. Small amounts are probably ok. Ask your OB doc.

Need appt!: May be a number of things but at this stage in your pregnancy you need to be checked asap! Infections in the mother can lead to preterm labor and delivery - like a urine infection. Stay hydrated and get into your MD tomorrow - if rapidly worsens go to the hospital ER to make sure the pregnancy is not at risk.

Call OB Dr: It sounds like your daughter had a gastrointestinal virus &amp; you may have the same, but in pregnancy it can be more complicated if you become dehydrated. If you cannot keep fluids down &amp; your blood pressure is too low you may need IV fluids. While awaiting Dr response try to drink sips of fluids every 30 mins or so &amp; take your pulse- if it is over 90-100 times a minute you may be dehydrated.

Contractions/36 week: Nausea and vomiting can occurs for many reasons, and are not generally observed at 36 weeks of pregnancy. Contractions are common anytime after 35=36 weeks, but can occur secondary to intestinal inflammation caused by viral, food or bacterial agents.  Consult your obstetric care professional to rule out the latter causes.

Many reasons: If you think you are in labor then you should go to the hospital for evaluation. Many pregnant women experience  stomach cramps and false labor contractions this far along in pregnancy.
