Period frequency ?: Periods at intervals described can be entirely normal, as variations of 3-10 days may be caused by delays in ovulation (stress related). If these lengths are anxiety producing, ask a gyn about low dose oral contraceptives, which will make "periods" more regular with less concern about pregnancy.

Depends: Have they checked your Hemoglobin or Hematocrit levels?  After a D&amp;C for miscarriage it's possible to have anemia (low hemoglobin levels in blood).  Symptoms of anemia are dizziness, fatigue, fainting episodes, fast heart rate.  If you feel completely fine then waiting only one menstrual cycle should be fine.  If you are having symptoms of anemia then wait 2-3 cycles.

I : I can understand your concern as that is a very unusual menstrual cycle.  Please take a pregnancy test to be sure that isn't the cause, but it sounds unlikely.  Please have your thyroid hormones checked to be sure you are not hypothyroid.  It is also important to be sure you are receiving adequate nutrition, as patient's with malnutrition can have irregular cycles.  That is a very long time to go without a period so i advise that you do see a gynecologist and have this completely evaluated.

See details: Assuming that you are not pregnant, d&amp;c's rarely provide long  term correction of bleeding problems. They are helpful at stopping bleeding quickly and diagnosing some endometrial disorders, but they will not correct bleeding from hormonal disorders or structural causes such as polyps and fibroids.  I would recommend additional evaluation if a specific cause has not been determined.

Ovulation: Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the first day of bleeding. Therefore, in your 28 day cycle ovulation occurs on cycle day 14 counting first day of bleeding as the first day of your cycle. A perfect, consistent 28 day cycle is not necessarily the norm. Most have a range of cycle lengths, say 26-29 days. Ovulation then occurs in the interval of cycle days 12-15.
