See details: Assuming that you are not pregnant, d&c's rarely provide long term correction of bleeding problems. They are helpful at stopping bleeding quickly and diagnosing some endometrial disorders, but they will not correct bleeding from hormonal disorders or structural causes such as polyps and fibroids. I would recommend additional evaluation if a specific cause has not been determined.
