Absolutely not!: Any kind of bleeding, more abdominal pain, or things that seem abnormal could be a sign of complications of surgery.  When uterus was removed (hysterectomy), top of the vagina was sewn shut.  Unless there is a problem, there should be no bleeding from your vagina.  Danger signs = weakness, fainting, paleness, fever, or a very tender belly should mean a trip to the er.  Call your surgeon asap!

is clitoral stimulation safe 3 weeks post op with hysterectomy? my main concern is, is it safe to use lubrication or saliva with oral sex.

Yes: I would still ask your doctor his advice. Was it a total or supracervical hysterectomy. Is the vaginal cuff now completely closed? What advice did he give you when you left the hospital.

Ask the surgeon: The restrictions that your surgeon gave you post op for the length of time that you should not insert anything into the vagina should also apply to anal sex.  Typically surgeons recommend 4-6 weeks without intercourse or any foreign objects in the vagina.  If your surgeon recommended longer or shorter, then that same length of time applies to anal sex.

Please ask that to: The doc who did your surgery as that doc knows you and how the surgery went and how your recovery went, without knowing your details i would say it is normal because if your problem was  bad enough that   you needed an abdominal hysterectomy , you can have pain for up to 4-6 weeks after but it should not be getting worse !  i rarely do them abdominally anymore so yours must have been a hard case.

Probably: Spotting and light bleeding can occur for several weeks after a hysterectomy. It can also come and go day by day.  If it is as heavy as a period, you should see your doctor.

Definitely not: If your symptoms have been ongoing for the last 5 weeks, then I would think that indeed the surgery is somehow related to these symptoms. I would recommend that you see an infectious diseases doctor who can help figure this out. There are other potential causes for flu like symptoms that may not relate to the hysterectomy- but I would probably start there.

8 weeks post op hysterectomy everything but ovaries. breasts swell and hurt all the time. not just with ovulation. normal? permanent? why??!

Contact your surgeon: Even though your ovaries are still present, the amount of circulating hormone may be disproportionate with estrogen only being secreted. This happens when ovulation is not ongoing and able to produce progesterone to balance the "equation" resulting in breast swelling. Contact your GYN surgeon and find out what is going on in your case.

i am going on 3 weeks post op.  i had a davinci robotic assist hysterectomy.  they left my ovaries.  tonight when i bump my stomach it hurts.  normal?

Yes: Whats bumping your stomach? you hit something against it? Usually after a laparascopic hysterectomy, the recovery time is fast but the incision still takes time to heal (4-6 weeks) and you can have pain during this time.
