Muscle strain : Suspect the MTH and surrounding muscles are being irritated by the shoe insert or gait pattern. See an orthopoedist who specializes in foot disorders, or a podiatrist. Suspect a proper orthotic will resolve this issue. In the meantime, roll the plantar surface of your affected foot over a coke bottle for 5-10 minutes nightly, while seated; directly massage metatarsal area, insert foot in whirlpool

Toe twitching: Get some rest, eat of good healthy meal, drink fluids and see if it goes away.  The chances of it being ALS or ms is incredible small.  It's only been one day.

can herniated disc cause symptom just sometimes on straight leg test? sometimes i get muscle twitching in feet other times not,same with big toe pain.

Can be intermittent: If a herniated disc causes signs like straight leg raising or sciatic nerve tenderness, it can be intermittent. So can any neurological or muscular sign or symptom. Left alone most resolve with conservative treatment. And some people with herniated disc on imaging studies have no pain.

pain and muscle spasms in both feet. painful big toe twitching. really bad in arch. this is constant since february. been to a neurologist, rhumatologist and they don't know what it is. blood work normal. mri is normal- looking for disc issues.

Foot Doctor?: Perhaps you should see a podiatrist.  The cramps in the arches can be due to leg length difference. This is very common. Because of it the feet absorb the difference and footwear plays a part in damaging or helping the feet. Custom insoles might help. Dropped arches can be  helped within shoes and heel height difference can be equalized as well. See a foot Doctor for their assessment.

for the past month ive had a muscle twitch come and go in my left foot. at first i could see my big toe actually move, now its a lighter twitch but the same muscle. ive researched everything but have no other symptoms. should i see a doctor?

Muscle Twitch: Sure.  Your PCP can diagnose/rule out conditions.  If no clear diagnosis you can ask him/her about taking magnesium.  Peace and good health.

I : I am not certain about your twitchiness but numbness and tingling in your little and ring fingers can be a sign of cubital tunnel syndrome or compression of a nerve in your neck.

when i put my top sole on a bar stool my toes shake upward. should i be concerned? i have had body twitches for two weeks too.

Visit your doctor: You sound like you have "googled" these symptoms already. The toes going upward after a plantar stimuli makes me wonder about Babinski sign, which would be abnormal at your age. Babinski and the "twitches" are certainly concerning buzz words of ALS. But before we get too concerned, a doctor needs to confirm both findings. Please go to the doctor.  I hope this helps and that it is nothing!

Nevertheless, I would've probably still advised you see your doctor &amp; in the mean time....you could start documenting your events. A pattern may develop. For example, time of onset, duration, body part involved, any other symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling? Does it only happen upon awakening? More info will help your doc.
