Weak metabolism?: If by weak metabolism, you mean slow metabolism, then the question is why do you think it is slow? Have you been evaluated by a physician to check for thyroid disease and other conditions than can contribute to slow metabolism? Why do you need to increase it? Are you trying to lose weight?  First find out if it's true and what is causing it and that will help you know what to do.

Tried milkshakes?: A rule of thumb--to gain 1 pound eat 3000 calories more than your body normally burns.  A bigger question is why are you having difficulty gaining weight?  Have you explored with your doctor the possibility of undernutrition,  hyperthyroidism, malabsorption and maldigestion, infection, altered GI tract function, eating disorders, inflammatory conditions, and malignancy?  Pursue evaluation please.

Lose weight: Weight should be decreased slowly - perhaps 2 pounds a month. That's 2 4  pounds a year - plenty of time for new clothing.

Don't forget to exercise.

Be careful: I trust this is what she truly wants to do -- if an adult is forcing it on her, she will resent it for the rest of her life. She also needs to know that she must supplement -- even non-vegan vegetarians tend to become B12 deficient, and despite all the hucksters, she'll have trouble getting enough iron, calcium, iodine and some of the others. She needs to have a serious talk with her physician.

i wonder if i stunted my growth by being not having a well planned vegetarian diet at age 13 to 14, i got my period at 10-11 yrs. old.

No: If your period started at age 10 to 11 and you were previously  taller than your peers you may have had precocious puberty and subsequent early closure of the growth plates due to accelerated maturation of your bone age. Your growth chart would show you being taller than average with rapid growth around 8 to 10 years of age and then leveling off. NOT at all from your diet at age 12 to 13.

Not if U R suffering: When your crohn's disease is inactive, there are few dietary restrictions needed. When flaring however, the location of crohn's activity determines diet modification. If in the small bowel, consider cutting back on lactose & fatty foods, & add supplements to make up for vitamin & mineral malabsorptions. If colonic crohn's, avoid gut stimulants like caffeine, minimize alcohol, maybe add probiotics.

OK - watch caffeine: Green tea has many health benefits and can help with weight loss. In general the more the better but it does have caffeine and too much caffeine can make you jittery, raise blood pressure etc. so limit to 5-6 cups a day and don't drink too late in the day. Viscious circle: You need energy to work out, but you feel too tired to exercise! start slowly. Rather than going to the gym for a spinning class, start by walking around the block. Tomorrow, try two blocks. Keep on going until you are walking a mile a day. When that becomes routine, extend it to a mile-and-a-half. If weather is an issue, know that many shopping malls open early for "mall walking." this works!

Infant feeding : You should give 3 meals and 3 snacks and still continue either breast milk or formula 18 to 24 oz per day. If you are not giving formula then make sure u provide enough Vitamin  D and B12 daily
