Safe: Relatively safe drug with very large margin of safety.I have seen some diarrhea, but that is about it for that dose. And any risk is far outweighed by the risk of the reflux.

Varivax reaction: You can give him some claritin (loratadine) (loratidine) syrup once daily for 3 days and also can use topical hydrocrtisone 1%. They will be gone in a few days. :)

this is first time read and found out there is a senior flu vaccine dose in pharmacy. since seniors were having all these years the regular flu vaccine, will it be okay to try the high dose flu vaccination in case if the dose cause any side effects?

: The higher dose flu vaccine for those over 65 years old has been given for many years now-it is not new! People over 65 typically don’t mount the same immune response as younger people so a higher dose allows a better immune response, thus increasing protection against influenza. The side effects are similar to the regular flu vaccine so the side effects you typically get, if any, can occur.

Avoid Death/injury: We have been blessed by decreasing numbers of deaths due to illnesses like pertussis, polio, hib meningitis ; the like. Many parents assume since the other kids in the neighborhood get shots, her baby doen't need to. Well? Just assume that traveler from asia/south america/etc. Didn't get of a plane yesterday incubating that illness before brushing into you at the mall is it worth your babies life.

Side effects can include a low grade fever, aches & pain, and localized swelling, redness and pain at the shot site. Some people have had allergic reactions to the flu vaccine.

Yes....: It is well documented that after vaccines patients have experienced extreme irritability, seizures, high fevers, and screaming for hours ...All of which are "brain side effects". In addition many parents have reported developmental regression after vaccines which is also a neurologic problem.

It might be wise: One of the problems with the new vaccines is there have been no long-term safety studies. Some doctors are concerned that they could cause infertility. There is no good evidence yet that it might do this, but also no proof it may not do so, at least on occasion, so if you want to be extra cautious your might consider that, though I hope it will prove to be unnecessary.
