Rubella titers- blood test for rubella antibodies. In an adult or child, the presence of igg rubella antibodies means that the person likely has been exposed to the rubella virus in the past or been vaccinated and is protected against it if the level is high enough. In a newborn until 6 months of age rubella igg antibody are maternal origin.
