A member asked:

Do i need to get re-vaccinated for rubella as an adult?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Male or female: Rubella is a minor illness to most except when it comes to a pregnant mom who has it during that pregnancy. Rubella can cause major fetal injury & birth defects, so ob's routinely screen women in their childbearing years so repeat rubella can be given if her titers are low. I've never heard of it being offered to adult males.
