Thick saliva or mucus

Why is it that every morning I wake up of me getting such thick saliva, or mucus in my mouth?

My throat seems to always be filled with thick saliva or mucus. Food doesn't always go down smoothly and I gulp loudly when i drink liquid?

Why do I get some thick saliva or mucus in my mouth and throat after brushing my teeth?

I am experiencing thick saliva or mucus in the back of my mouth where the wall of the throat is. It's been going on for 2 months, no coughing, no colds, just yellow mucus which could possibly the reason why I have yellow snot (not wet) in my nose.
