A member asked:

Why do i get some thick saliva or mucus in my mouth and throat after brushing my teeth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can be dryness.: This is a nonspecific finding that maybe because of too little fluids, it may be from the toothpaste drying out the mouth, or it may be due to a chemical called Atropine which produces, among other things, dry mouth. This is used for many things, like bradycardia for resuscitation, to dilate pupils in eye exams and to treat insecticide poisoning.
