Moderate yellow eyes and skin (jaundice) is clinical finding that suggests the levels of bilirubin, a pigmented break-down product of red blood cells, is building up in the body. Bilirubin build up can occur because either the body is breaking down excess red blood cells or a person is not clearing the break-down product at a fast enough, normal rate.
