Is an obstructive jaundice that is caused by a gallstone in the common bile duct that lasts for 25 days considered a chronic jaundice? My brother took 25 days to get his Ercp so the jaundice lasted that many days as well. Is it bad for his liver?
I had an obstructive jaundice caused by a gallstone that was stuck in the common bile duct. So after 25 days the doctor removed the stone using Ercp. Bile flow is fully restored but will the jaundice cause any serious permanent damage to the liver?
