Why is my left eyelid red and swollen and dry?

Why are my eyelids red, flaky, and burning?

Sudden onset pain in left lower eyelid. No visible redness or swelling. Hurts to blink and look down. Feels like a bruise, no discoloration?

My daughter lower eyelids red and puffy her doctor said that it was just inflamed and told me to putwarm cloth with water 4times a day but it hasent go away and iam worry please help.?
