The : The most commons symtpoms with blepharitis is itching of the eyelid and burning or irritation in the eye. Pain may represent the progression to developing a stye, or a chalazion on the eyelid. A stye is usually less painful and can be treated with antibiotic ointments. A chalazion is an inflammatory nodule that develops in the eyelid. If you have pain it is best to see your eye doctor.

It : It is unusual for blepharitis to cause any pain. Usually redness, irritation, grittiness, itching and tearing are part of that problem. Pain is usually caused by a stye forming or if the skin is so inflamed from the blepharitis that it is starting to crack or peel. See your local eye doctor for treatment! more info here:.

Blepharitis : Blepharitis can cause irritation and itching. It can cause tenderness when touched but should not cause pain on its own. If you have pain, it can be caused by a more serious condition such as cellulitis. You should be evaluated by your local ophthalmologist to ensure that it is not something more serious.
