Elective csection

Elective csection

There are many indications for delivering your baby by Caesarean section (C-section) to protect both the mother and the baby. Having a previous C-section is one reason to consider delivery by C-section again. A very large baby, or a baby that presents foot first or bottom first may be unsafe to deliver vaginally. After a c-section, you will stay at least one extra day in the hospital to help your recovery. Keep the abdominal wound clean and perform the dressing changes as advised by your doctor. Most women are able to nurse their babies during this period.
