Bone density scan
A dexa(dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry) measured the density of mineral/calcium in the bones, and is also known as bmd(bone mineral densitometry). It involves lying on an exam table while x-rays with 2 different wavelengths go through the hip and the spine region to measure the amount of calcium in the bones to determine if some has osteoporosis or a high risk for broken hip or other bones.
