Xray test for bones: A dexa(dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry) measured the density of mineral/calcium in the bones, and is also known as bmd(bone mineral densitometry). It involves lying on an exam table while x-rays with 2 different wavelengths go through the hip and the spine region to measure the amount of calcium in the bones to determine if some has osteoporosis or a high risk for broken hip or other bones.

Bone health test: A bone density test or dual energy absorptiometry (dexa) scan is a simpl xray with very low radiation exposure. It determines the strength of your bones compared to healthy young bones. It is usually recommended to women post menopausally to detertmine bone loss and possbile need for treatment. It is usually recommended every 2 - 5 years, depending on results and risk factors for osteoporosis.
