What is the difference betweens cranial nerves and neurons in the brain. Is it possible to damage a major cranial nerve?

Thanks. Due to VitB12 deficiency, brain is shrinking, damaged brain nerves. Vitb12 shots started 3 weeks back, but no result. Can it be cured now?
