Intravenous immunoglobulin

Intravenous immunoglobulin

Link copied

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is a way to provide antibodies to children with documented immune deficiencies and to treat other problems involving the immune system, such as Kawasaki disease. It has also been suggested as a treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders based on the idea that fetal brain development is related to the prenatal immune response, but there is little data to support this use
