Tic disorders
Tics are brief involuntary muscle spasms (motor tics) or involuntary vocalizations (vocal tics). Example of motor tic involuntary grimacing of face, but very brief. Vocal tics may be anything from involuntary clearing of throat to actually saying words involuntarily. Tics can be cause by neurologic conditions, or as a side effect from some medications.
