Repetitive movements: They are usually uncontrollable repetitive movements, they can be grunting, clearing of throat, eyelid blinking. They can be seen in syndromes such as gille de la tourette syndrome.

Muscle Spasm, noises: Tics are brief involuntary muscle spasms (motor tics) or involuntary vocalizations (vocal tics). Example of motor tic involuntary grimacing of face, but very brief. Vocal tics may be anything from involuntary clearing of throat to actually saying words involuntarily. Tics can be cause by neurologic conditions, or as a side effect from some medications.
