Pseudomembranous colitis
Pseudomembranous colitis is a condition of intestinal infection by Clostridium difficile bacteria causing a significant amount of watery, pungent smelling diarrhea as well as fever and abdominal pain. This infection is more common with prior antibiotic use and with hospitalizations.
