A member asked:

Lupus have connection with hsv 2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not directly: Hsv 2 a viral infection, and lupus an autoimmune disease have completely different causes and pathological courses. However, people who are treated for lupus usually take immunosuppresive drugs and are therefore more susceptible to infections. So it may be easier for them to get herpes or experience breakouts.
