Treating Blackheads: My recommendation for effectively treating existing blackheads is not to attempt extracting them yourself, unless you are an aesthetician. I definitely do not recommend pore strips either. Both put you at risk for causing skin injury and inflammation. See a aesthetician/skin specialist for a facial with extractions. Retinoids, beta hydroxy acids and low dose birth control pills can be very helpful.
