Tests: Testing for hpv is available as a reflex test or as an ordered test on routine pap smears. If anyone has had a wart anywhere on their body, they have one of the most common subtypes of hpv. Hpv has been reported in up to 90% of sexually active adults worldwide. It's importance is that certain subtypes cause cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer.
