The one who...: ...Could correctly answer that question is the gynecologist who told you that the discharge is abnormal. It could be an std, vaginitis (an infection of the vagina), or yeast. S/he most likely took a sample and sent it for testing. I don't think a doctor is likely to tell you s/he found something abnormal and then not do anything to investigate. You need to follow up with him or her.
