Yes: Completely normal to have some side effects, especially in the first few months on a new oral contraceptive. I tell patients to typically give a birth control pill 3 months of adjustment before you switch pills or switch contraceptive methods. If symptoms persist, make sure you're on a low dose birth control (20mcg of estrogen), they provide same amt of protection but less side effects :-).

Normal: The first few cycles on oral contraceptives may be associated with some nausea and breast tenderness. Most women will find that these symptoms will fade over time. If not, contact your doctor and see if a different pill or birth control option would suit you better.
