Problematic Depo: After stopping Depo-Provera periods can be irregular for an average of 9 months but even up to 1.5 top 2 years. You cannot get the effects of Depo-Provera out. So a shorter acting hormone is often needed to control things until Depo-Provera is out of your body. The pills wear off in a day.
