Is there a cure for trichomonas vaginalis infection?

YES: There are several antibiotics that have high effectiveness against trich. Metronidazole and tinidazole are the most commonly used. Sexual partners also needed to be treated to prevent re-infection.

Agree w Dr.: Fogelson. Trichomonas is relatively easy to treat. Trichomoniasis can be treated w one oral dose of Metronidazole or tinidazole. Partners must also be treated. Re-infection can occur.
