Allergies?: Maybe it was determined that your chest tightness was shortness of breath from an allergic reaction to something, especially if you also have a rash associated.

Asthma + allergy: Frequently people with asthma also have allergies. About 90% of children with asthma have allergies and 50% of adults with asthma have allergies. Checking for allergies is an important part of assessing patients with recurrent cough, wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
