A member asked:

My 2 year old gets bloody noses and has since i can remember. is it normal or should i bring it up to her doctor again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: The nose is covered inside by thin membranes& many capillaries that add moisture to dry air when we breathe. Conditions that irritate the nose, like pollen, dust, smoke etc.Often drive a child to rub the nose or pick it.Half awake kids often rub their face in their pillow & you find a bloody pillowcase in the morning.Nasal gel or saline at bedtime can help. Check with your doc if it continues.
